Triumph Modular and NRB, Inc., take first place in design challenge

April 24, 2006—Triumph Modular and NRB, Inc., in collaboration with Architectural Resources in Cambridge, MA, took first place in the Montgomery County Public Schools' (MCPS) 2006 Design Competition for a Prefabricated Classroom Unit. The classroom was developed in partnership with the Council for Educational Facility Planners and the Emerging Green Builders of the National Capital Region Chapter of the US Green Building Council. MCPS is committed to high performance and environmentally sustainable school buildings to optimize the health, comfort and productivity of students and staff.

The Portable Classroom Design Challenge 2006 winner is an innovative and flexible 938 square foot, portable unit designed for sustainability, versatility, comfort and aesthetic appeal. The classroom meets LEED NC certification requirements and promotes a positive environmental impact, indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Triumph is currently developing new, sustainable portable classroom designs for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the US.
