Cliff Cort advocates for modular classrooms in American School and University

August 01, 2006—According to an article published by American School and University, administrators in charge of educational facilities face "the dual dilemma of crowded, aging facilities and tightening capital budgets." The article which was written by Cliff Cort, president of Triumph SmartSpace, explains how recent innovations in modular construction can meet the growing demand for classroom, laboratory and activity space instead of the temporary trailers commonly used in the past. In addition to safety and sustainability features, modular classroom construction minimizes disruption of studies and "typically results in lower costs and earlier occupation of the building," according to Cort.
